A Cross Between Wikipedia & Google Plus Bookmarks

Sounds like an interesting idea. Mitch Kapor announces a new project:

I’m incubating a new startup, which is pretty exciting because we’re working on innovation at the intersection of search and social production. Think of new services which are a cross between Google and the Wikipedia

Although, the Google/Wikipedia cross already exists. It’s called Google, which shows Wikipedia results on just about any search you care to name ;)

I do wish people would stop calling this type of thing Search 2.0, though. It’s just the incremental development of search, but I guess that doesn’t sound very catchy, and you wouldn’t make any money from conferences.
