Problems With Your Internet Connection After Uninstalling Google Desktop?

According to Google, some Google desktop users may experience problems with their internet connections following uninstall:

“Our engineers are currently investigating the source of this problem. In the meantime, if these steps don’t restore your connection, please let us know”.
