Brands are built in a number of ways. Ebay has a strong brand, and it’s got nothing to do with photography.
I think the real problem is that a lot of advertising agencies don’t understand the online space – period. It isn’t about pretty pictures, produced at ludicrous cost, offering little measurable return. It is about establishing relationships. Search engines help facilitate relationship building.
If you’ve got thousands of people clicking onto your site, via search, every day, and people don’t remember your brand – fire your agency.
