Where Do You Find The Time?

Finding Time

Sometimes it feels like there are not enough hours in a day to get everything done that we want to do. Since we all receive the same 1440 minutes to spend every day, the solution SHOULD be simple, but it never is. Is it?

Expecting Too Much of Ourselves

Quite often we are trying to do too much and need to be more realistic about what can and cannot be done. If we cannot simplify our lifestyles then eventually we are going to have to admit that we are not Superman. You can’t do it all. Something has to give. Take a long hard look at your schedule and make some modifications.

Wasting Too Much Time

Sometimes we are unknowingly wasting too much of the time that we do have.

It’s not usually the hours that we lose – it’s the minutes here and there that add up too much more time than we realize.

How much time do we spend waiting throughout the week?

If you are waiting in a doctor’s office, could you spend that time jotting down ideas for your next blog post? Could you get some of your social networking done while waiting in line at the grocery store?

What if we stopped wasting the lost time and use it for something productive?

Now before you take that too far, I don’t believe every moment of our lives should be scheduled doing something productive.

Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” – Marthe Troly-Curtin

If we stop at the local coffee shop to relax for 15 minutes, it is perfectly okay to just sit there staring out the window doing absolutely nothing.

You have heard it a thousand times but I am still going to say it again…

It’s all a matter of finding balance.

Sometimes it don’t seem like there are enough minutes(which I never knew how many there are..thank you) in a day!
I’ll get so overwhelmed that I end up doing nothing! Or what I do isn’t right and I have to redo it!
    Then that really depresses me..ughhh.
I have been trying to pace my days and what I do! I also do say no now and then!

There is a saying “best laid plans” isn’t there. Seems no matter how determined I am to get things done in a day a roadblock or distraction sidelines “the plan”.

It doesn’t help a certain person keeps starting challenges. (wink)

When I was in college I carried my books with me everywhere. When I had to wait for any period of time I would read (which was a good thing since I worked and went to school so any time I could study was time well spent) Now I do a lot of crossword puzzles, read books (sometimes play angry birds lol). I have a wild imagination so sometimes I just “think”. About my next project, my next vacation, a poem I’ve been working on, or what I want to do with that pile of bamboo I have. (of course winter is not a good season for me so I tend to waste a lot of time in the colder months)

A great approach to making life worth living … a moment in time that matters the most that most don’t realized. I am doing it. If you will, you too will know exactly what Ms. Walker is saying and how good it feels …

    Thanks for sharing Ms. Walker.
