You Are Not Alone

alone...

We all have had times, if only for a moment, when we think about giving up on our business – times when we are certain that we are completely alone, and no one else has felt the way we are feeling. I would like to let you in on a little secret. It isn’t true.

You are not alone!

Most, if not all of us have been when you are right now and understand exactly how you feel. How do you find your way out? Surround yourself with positive people and reach out for help. Yeah, it really is that simple.

See, that is a big part of what makes running an online business so cool. Just about any time of day or night, you can find people to interact with on forums and social media sites. You cannot be afraid to reach out and involve yourself in activities and challenges that will help turn your attitude around.

I firmly believe that our attitude is a HUGE factor in how we deal with our daily tasks that make the difference in our business.

Once we have our attitudes on track, then we are not only ready to get back to work, we are excited to find those paths that will bring us that much closer to our goals.

I think we’ve ALL had days like that. It’s easy to get discouraged but I’ve always told myself not make any important decisions when I’m feeling like that. Once those feelings pass (and they always do) then I can get back to business and do what needs to be done!

I know I’ve definitely had days like that! Since I’ve been through it so many times I know the feeling will pass, and that I’ve just got to either wait it out or reach out to friends. Sometimes all it takes is just one person’s positive comments to snap me out of it.

Re-reading raves and positive comments from customers also helps me remember why I do what I do – it’s about my customers, not me.

Yes, we’ve all had days like that. I’m having a rough one right now. Like you say in the post, it’s important to talk with others about what’s going on. In my day job, I have a co-worker who’s great to chat with, and in my writing efforts, my lovely bride is great for bouying me up when I feel like I’m sinking.

You’re definitely right, it just gets so hard at times when you feel like you’re not making any progress, but I have to agree that reaching out to others is a great idea!! 🙂

We sit at our computers alone, those of us who work from home. We struggle to make our websites popular and make a few bucks. And, there are many days that are all labor without the benefit of seeing any progress.
The interactivity that we have with fellow bloggers/website owners can provide a lift for the spirit. I find myself reaching out more frequently.

You’re definitely right, it just gets so hard at times when you feel like you’re not making any progress, google panda has been updated and so many good sites also has loosed their traffic 🙁
