Enable Threaded Comments

Have you been wondering why some blogs make it possible for you to reply to a specific comment and other’s do not? It is set up this way on your blog? Why not?

Below is a screen shot of what I mean.

See the reply option to a specific comment? If you click that when responding to a comment on a post, it indents your comment below the exact comment you are referring to. Can you see how much easier it makes it for you to reply without having to explain which comment you are replying to?

It’s one of those little things that can make a difference, and it take just a few minutes and a couple of mouse clicks to implement if you’re using Word Press.

Go to the dashboard of your WP blog. Within the left side navigation you will see “settings”. Click there to open the options. Now click on “discussion”. When that page opens, add a check mark to “enable threaded (nested) comments…” and then go to the bottom and click the button to save your changes.

All done! Easy right?

Fantastic tip – thanks! I never would’ve taken time to poke around the dashboard and find this myself.

Are you going to show us how to get our pix to show up as our avatars? Will it matter what platform we’re commenting on – wordpress, blogspot, other?

That great , or not it will troublesome because sometime people post a comment reply but they not sure that is it they reply a comment to blog or reply on someone comment.
