		<description>My own theory is that most social media have a natural life cycle.  Early on they&#039;re the place to be to be cool.  Then when everyone knows about them they become non-cool.  So everyone moves on.  It would be interesting research to determine how many months it takes for most social media to have less than say 10% of their peak traffic as they skid down the slope to obscurity.</description>
