The End Of DRM

I don’t know how you feel about DRM, but I’ve always thought the idea sucked, especially when it comes to music.

It’s like having a record (remember those?) that you can only play on one brand of record player. This stupid idea was never going to last.

I don’t know the answer to the music industries piracy problems, other than to make music so cheap that it’s not worth stealing. Perhaps Google have a few suggestions? Perhaps a song-per-click idea might work? Dunno. Sellaband?

Anyway, Nick Carr has a thoughtful post on the topic of DRM death. And the comments are well worth reading, too.
