Are 520,000 Unique Visitors A Problem?

Is there an award for the worst case of missed opportunity?

Owners of utube.com, a company selling tube and rollform equiptment, filed suit against YouTube, the company that doesn’t sell tube and rollform equiptment.

The problem?

Too many people are typing in utube, instead of YouTube, thus driving a veritable avalanche of traffic to utube.com. The simple, and quite lucrative, solution would be to monatarise that traffic and buy another domain for the business. It’s highly unlikely such a suit will succeed anyway.

Then again, perhaps the publicity is useful to them.

LOL, what an interesting news the owners of utube.com would be surely pretty happy for getting millions of people coming to their site and he must be thanking god that he registered that domain. But there I think is another option why doesn’t YouTube buy that domain from that company.

    Heh heh.

Perhaps they don’t wish to sell it? Perhaps they are rather enjoying the free publicity?

Yes ofcourse all of us would have also done the same suppose if you had registered yahu.com before they registered so do you think we would ever think to sell it if it gets millions of visits, well only if I get $1 Billion.
