Would They Prefer “Do You Yahoo”?
Are Google in danger of taking themselves a touch too seriously?
Not content with owning the search market, that white-and-candy-colored search engine appears to be lecturing people on how, and how not, to use their name.
“so we’d like to make clear that you should please only use “Google” when you’re actually referring to Google Inc. and our services“
Perhaps only a team of over-paid lawyers would be annoyed about people, worldwide, using a company name as an integral part of their everyday lives. Others might call that a successful brand identity that they would sell their grandmothers to an abattoir to attain.
Are Google losing the plot?
I feel a search coming on. Excuse me while I input-a-query-into-the-white-interface-and-get-wikipedia-flavored-results.
