Google Syndicated Search

Nice spot on ZDNet:

“Google registered thirty variations of a “syndicated search” domain on the September 15th:

google-syndicated-search.com/net/org
google-syndicatedsearch.com/net/org
googlesindicatedsearch.com/net/org
googlesyndicated-search.com/net/org
googlesyndicatedsearch.com/net/org
googlesyndicatesearch.com/net/org
syndicatedgooglesearch.com/net/org
syndicatedsearchgoogle.com/net/org
wwwgooglesyndicatedsearch.com/net/org
wwwsyndicatedsearchgoogle.com/net/org”

What does it all mean?

Anyones guess, really. Perhaps Google just grabbed the names before someone else did. Garrett thinks it may be some form of open search service, which may allow developers to syndicate search results to be consumed by aggregators.

I can’t see any other mention of it at the moment. Something to watch out for over the next few weeks…
