This report was written by an attendee at a talk at the University of Washington about BigTable – Googles system for storing large amounts of data in a semi-structured manner.
Being a sys admin from way back, I can follow most of this, but it’s not than relevant for SEOs, and will likely result in yawns for all but the most feverent Googles completist. However, one bit did catch my attention:
“They have their eye on the future with some features under consideration. 1. Expressive data manipulation, including having scripts sent to clients to modify data.“
I don’t claim to understand it. Can anyone explain what “Expressive data manipulation, including having scripts sent to clients to modify data” means?
