Click Fraud: Overstated

Peter Da Vanzo

Mark Cuban writes “Why I think ClickFraud is far greater than imagined“. Mark lists a number of reasons why, but I thought this one was pretty funny: “The Bad Guys have figured out that they look a lot more legit getting checks from google than trying to wash 10k dollars in cash delivered in a bag“.

True, probably.

The article is pretty clumsy. Yes, click fraud is a problem, but a “huge problem”? While the ROI is there, advertisers will continue to advertise.

Anyway, which advertising system doesn’t have problems? How much television advertising is actually watched? Is skipping ads considered fradulent activity?

Click Fraud is an interesting topic – one which both clicktracks and adwatcher will stop, one which will cost you an estimated 20% of your ad budget.
This is an interesting article with valuable information. I have used both clicktracks and adwatcher to prevent clickfraud. What we and many other webmasters are starting to do is invest our marketing dollars into clicktracks, adwatcher or other ad tracker software.
If you are looking for more information on adwatcher or clicktracks i recommend you take a look at: http://www.trackingsoftwarereviews.com they have full reviews on both clicktracks and adwatcher!
