Google are holding a Press Day. The video is here.
There are quite a few interesting announcements. They start off by saying they aim to be more transparent, they want to do more on localization, and they want to help reporters do a better job. “Some people want to know where the bathrooms are”, says spokesperson Elliot Schrange. He gives directions.
Highlights and New Services:
Google Trends – a very cool application that let’s you search query volumes. Aaron has already integrated this into his very cool keyword research tool.
Google Co-Op – Danny has a good writeup. Essentially, a direct way to offer your content to Google users. Users can create their own vertical search engine. More here.
Google Desktop - a new version. Google sink their teeth further into the MS desktop.
Google Notebook – will be here next week.
